How to Make an LED Flashlight

There is a cornucopia of LED flashlights in the market. Many companies have joined in the tight competition. Most of them are good enough but they are usually quite costly. If you have a need for more spare light sources at home, consider making your own.

Step 1: Prepare the materials you are going to need such as your old flashlight, LED bulb, ceramic capacitor, perfboard, battery holder, and so on. Just follow the following steps and you can find the other materials needed.

Step 2: Get a perfboard and cut it into two equal pieces. Cut the first one into a circle-the measurement should fit the reflector of the flashlight. The other one is for the keeping the pump materials intact.

Step 3: Get a soldering iron and the LEDs. For more powerful lighting, you can use 8-10 white LEDs and assemble them on the perfboard. Google the right assembly of charge ciruit pumps and follow it closely. You can find diagrams online for easier reference.

Step 4: Attach the pump to the LED ring serial and then you can move on to attaching the perfrboard to the reflector of the flashlight found inside the device.

Step 5: Get the holder of the LED bulb and then connect it to the reflector. Get the soldering iron once again and solder the holder of the battery to the positive end and the negative end of the bulb holder.

Step 6: Now you can connect the three double A batteries you can purchased. Just place the battery inside, followed by the pump circuit and the reflectors-closely follow the usual format of the old flashlight.

Step 7: Now you can test your home made light. Turn the power button on. Give it a few seconds for the battery to transfer power to the lights. After a few seconds, it will emit a more powerful light than your old one.
