Find the Perfect Bathroom Makeup Mirror

It might sound silly but there are some really useful tips that you might like to know about if you are thinking of buying any bathroom mirrors. Usually we buy bathroom mirrors when we are refurbishing or improving the bathroom and that allows us a lot of scope, but it is a very important to buy the right mirror for your bathroom and the 'right' bathroom mirror is actually a combination of a number of factors.

The first and most importantly ensure that the mirror you choose for your bathroom is one of the modern ones that has a protective covering to inhibit or stop it misting up. No they don't always work however they are hundreds of times better than the older style uncoated ones, and any mist that accumulates clears quickly and easily without wiping which saves cleaning later.

So armed with those basics you are ready to review your bathroom and start to decide what shape and size mirror you want. Bathroom Mirrors come in all shapes and sizes from vanity mirrors for make up and shaving through to large square mirrors, round, traditional and oval mirrors.

Obviously your bathroom and you need a vanity mirror which can double as a shaving or makeup mirror and if that vanity mirror is illuminated so much the better. But bathrooms always benefit from a full length mirror it adds light, depth and creates a wonderful airy illusion of space. So if you have the room then a large wall makeup mirror  in the bathroom is a marvelous treat.

Take a good long look at all of the walls in your bathroom and really get to know their shape, because this will help when you are out looking for a bathroom mirror that is just right and don't make the mistake of choosing the first mirror you come across wait and think about the space it is going to go in, is it right for oval mirrors, traditional mirrors or large square mirrors.

When you see a mirror that you think is right, measure it, go home, without buying it and using cardboard, newspaper or whatever you have to hand make a template the same size and shape as the mirror you liked and hold it up to the wall, you can even cover the shape with aluminum foil and stick it lightly to the wall just to see if the shape and position are just right.
